Selon une r\u00e9cente \u00e9tude de Mintel, pr\u00e8s de trois adultes am\u00e9ricains sur cinq essaient d\u2019adopter une alimentation qui favorise le d\u00e9veloppement d\u2019un microbiote sain. <sup>1<\/sup><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>C\u2019est dans ce contexte que des produits qui modulent la composition de la flore intestinale se sont d\u00e9velopp\u00e9s, on parlera alors de pr\u00e9biotiques<sup>2<\/sup>. Cette flore intestinale regroupe des milliers d\u2019esp\u00e8ces bact\u00e9riennes qui diff\u00e8rent d\u2019une personne \u00e0 une autre et qui \u00e9volue tout au long de la vie. Le butyrate par exemple a de nombreuses fonctions pour l\u2019organisme.
