New identity for Flowhey® D40, 40% demineralised whey powder
Since the beginning of May 2024, Lactalis Ingredients has been offering its Flowhey® D40 whey powder in a brand-new packaging.
A DEDICATED VISUAL IDENTITY THAT’S EASIER TO RECOGNISE
For the consistency of the range and to highlight our FLOWHEY® expertise, the FLOWHEY® D40 brand now replaces the DEMLAC 8000 name initially used for our high fluidity 40% demineralized whey powders. This new packaging makes it easier to identify the product, while preserving its quality during transport and storage.
The aim of this new packaging is to better meet our customers’ requirements by updating regulatory information. To facilitate our export deployment, we have decided to add several languages to improve responsiveness, readability, and flexibility (English, French, Spanish, Russian and Arabic). This change only concerns Mayenne plant, which produces Flowhey® quality demineralized whey, and has been in production since the beginning of May 2024.

FLOWHEY®: A RANGE OF HIGH FLUIDITY WHEY POWDERS
As a pioneer in whey drying since the 70’s, Lactalis Ingredients has developed a unique technology to optimize the crystallization of the lactose contained in whey. Flowhey® brand is a range of whey powders with very high fluidity, which do not become brown or clumpy.
The FLOWHEY® range is composed of different references:
- Sweet whey powder
- Heat stable sweet whey powder
- 40% demineralized sweet whey powder: FLOWHEY D40
These different references can be used in a wide range of applications: chocolate, sweetened condensed milk, bakery, biscuit, and dairy products.
For each application, a specific reference has been developed with an adapted composition and microbiological profile.
