In this year 2023, we are launching our new brand Lactalis Ingredients Pharma, specialized in the manufacture of pharmaceutical grade lactose.

With our wide range of standard and white lactose for the food, infant and clinical applications, Lactalis Ingredients is trusted by the most exigent markets across more than 100 countries.

Today, Lactalis Ingredients enters the pharmaceutical market aiming for excellence and to satisfy the needs of pharmaceutical companies and manufacturers worldwide. Used to dilute and bind Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients, lactose is an essential excipient to formulate Oral Solid Dosage forms such as tablets, capsules and sachets.

STATE-OF-THE-ART FACILITIES IN RETIERS, FRANCE

To meet the pharmaceutical standards, our Retiers plant, already part of our 18 production sites, benefited from a new extension. The lactose installations were inaugurated in 2017 with state-of-the-art equipment and reliable certifications. Indeed, our teams set the best stage for pharmaceutical lactose production and the plant is now certified ISO 9001, FSSC 22000 and complies with the Good Manufacturing Practices.

Lactalis Ingredients Pharma is proud to launch Lactalpha, its range of milled and sieved lactose monohydrate. Complying to the monographs of the current Pharmacopoeias (Ph. Eur., USP-NF and JP), Lactalpha is ready to follow manufacturers in the formulation of Oral Solid Dose medicines thanks to its various particle sizes.
