Laktodem® 90, a source of lactose and whey proteins
Laktodem 90 is a demineralized whey powder that contains less than 1% of minerals. Produced in Lactoserum France plant, Laktodem 90 has been benefiting from more than 30 years of dairy expertise through LSF and Lactalis Ingredients companies.
With a regular monitoring plan, we are able to ensure a consistent quality. It allows Laktodem 90 to be used in infant formula from 1st age to growing up milk but also in other nutritious formulations.
Demineralized whey powders are staple ingredients in Infant formulation. They are considered as natural carrier of lactose and whey protein with a very low impact on the global ashes rate contained in the final formulation.
For 3 years now, Laktodem workshop in Lactoserum France plant has undergone a massive plan of renovation. It aims at continuously meeting our customers’ expectations in terms of quality, security, hygiene and environment.
For several month now, Lactoserum France is into a FSSC22000 certification process. The whole audit plan follows now the FSSC 22 000 requirements in terms of protocols, frequencies and hygienic measures. From the raw whey supply to the packaging stage and the production environment, a systematic quality plan is now applied. At each production batch, samples are continuously collected in order to achieve 100% of representativeness. All in all, our monitoring controls have been multiplied by 3 in 3 years.
This massive plan also includes a global renovation of all the industrial facilities relied to Laktodem demineralized whey powder production. From the offloading step to the drying and packing stages, roofs, walls and grounds have been renewed. New metal detectors have been implemented to ensure a better reliability, an innovative process has been developed to limit chlorates residues in Laktodem powders.

Implementing such a new quality policy based on new material flow, monthly hygienic audits, new zoning, new cleaning place processes, systemic and frequent quality formations has helped to reach a strong “culture of quality” shared by everyone. It has finally strengthened our quality awareness towards our consumers and customers’ requirements. All our teams are fully implied to ensure the production of safe and high quality dairy ingredients.
In addition to a strong industrial expertise, Lactalis Ingredients has decided to strengthen its sales position in China. To this end, a new subsidiary Lactalis Ingredients Shanghai has been inaugurated in 2019. The aim is to be as close as possible to our Chinese customers. Efficiency and reactivity are key words that drive us day by day to produce the best quality of Laktodem 90.
